The family announces the burial agreements for the late Christian Chukwu

The burial of Nigeria Christian Chukwu’s football legend has been scheduled for Friday 22 August 2025.

Blueprint recalls that Chukwu died on Saturday 12 April 2025, at the age of 74.

In the meantime, plans are already underway for a national burial suitable for honoring the late football icon.

Apart from the burial ceremony in Enugu, the family has also revealed that there will be a special event in Lagos, where Chukwu has spent most of his career with the national football team.

This event will offer the opportunity to his fans and friends who are unable to travel to Enugu to celebrate the life and legacy of the football hero.

Chukwu died on Saturday 12 April 2025, at the age of 74.
