The Appeal Court confirmed that the AIYDATIWA election in Ondo

The Appeal Court, Akure, on Thursday confirmed the victory of the Governor of Ondo State, Lucky Aiyedatiwa, in the Election of November 16, 2024.

Petition Court Election of the Governor of State Ondo on June 4 strengthened Aiyedatiwa’s victory in the election and declared a petition against him by the Democratic Party (PDP) and four other parties as “speculative.”

Other applicants are the African Democratic Congress (ADC), the Allied People’s (APM) movement and the Social Development Party (SDP).

The applicants in appeal accuse that the court did not provide the right analysis for the details of the evidence and exhibition submitted to the panel.

In the Thursday process, the three-person panel led by Judge Nimpar Yargata unanimously attacked an appeal because it did not strengthen the claim of non-compliance with the Election Law.

Other panel members are – Judge Ki Amadi and Hakim Im Sani.

The court said that the applicants could not support their accusations of the election and APC.
