President Bola Tinubu, President Umaro Sissoco Embaló of Guinea-Bissau and the Prime Minister of the Republic of Niger, Ali Lamine Zeine, were among thousands of people who participated in the funeral rites of the deceased former president Muhammadu Buhari Tuesday in Daura, in the state of Katsina.

The remains of Buhari were broadcast in Nigeria by vice -president Kashim Shettimo and by the head of the president’s staff, Femi Gbajabiamilila.

The remains were brought aboard a Nigerian flight to the Air Force -Fgt 001, which touched the ground at Umaru Musa Yar’adua International Airport, around 2:00, Tuesday.
The body was received by Tinubu, governor Dikko Radda of the State of Katsina, councilor for national security, Nuhu Ribadu, governors and other dignitaries.

After a farewell parade in honor of the deceased former commander of the Armed Forces of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, his remains were sent to Daura on the road.
Funeral prayer was led by Imam Hassan Yusuf, after 16:00, to Daura Helipad.
The prayer was performed by many dignitaries, including remarkable, there were former president Nigerien Mahamadou Issoufou and former vice -president Atiku Abubakar.
Others were members of the National Assembly, Emir of Daura, Alhaji Umar Faruk-Umar, that of Katsina, Alhaji Abdulmumini Kabir-Usman and Emirs of Zazzau, Duta and Kazaure, among others.
Even the captains of industries such as Alhaji Aliko Dangote and Alhaji Dahiru Barau Mangal, participated in the burial.

After the funeral prayer, the corpse was brought to his personal residence where he was buried.
At the funeral rites they had attended thousands of people who had previously been denied access to the location but later had allowed to enter.
Some people interviewed, confirmed the virtues of the deceased former president who distinguished themselves for integrity, honesty and discipline.
Salisu Lawal, said Bohari was a great man who loved being with his people and offering them to them.
Aliyu Nasiru, another resident, described Buhari’s death as a great loss only for his immediate family, but to enter the state and the country.

“Death has created a void that is difficult to fill, it will continue to be remembered for its good virtues,” he said.
He prayed to the Almighty Allah to forgive his deficiencies and grant him Al-Jannah Firdus.
