The flight union suspects the name of the name after the progress payment talks

Aviation unions in the Nigerian Air Air Management Agency (Name) have suspended the unlimited strikes they planned, quoting “positive developments” in negotiations over the increase in wages.

The previous union directed the name staff to stop the service from Monday, August 11, for unresolved demands for better wages. However, in a joint statement issued on Friday, trade unions said industrial actions were suspended after guarantees from management and intervention by the Minister of Aviation.

The statement, signed by Abdulrataq Saidu, Secretary General of the Nigerian Aviation Professional Association; Odinaka Igbokwe, Deputy Secretary General of the National Air Transportation Employee; Frances Akinjole, Deputy Secretary General of the Nigerian Air Transportation Services Staff Association; and Alo Lawrence, Secretary General of the Association of Public Companies that are accompanied, Employees of Technical Services and Recreation of Civil Services, noted the main progress.

According to trade unions, this includes the release of the letter “No Objection” from the budget office for national income, salary and wage commissions, as well as guarantees from the management of the name that the revised salary will be paid with August wages.

“Based on the above, and to show good faith, our union has made the decision to postpone the strike action scheduled to begin on Monday, August 11, 2025, while waiting for the state of affairs about this issue at the end of August,” the statement said.

The union urges all staff names to remain patient because they monitor developments.
