The head of the defense staff (CDS), General Christopher Musa, accused the troops under operation Fasan Yamma of remaining vigilant and concentrated at all times, while dealing with insecurity in the North-West, warning that the “enemies do not sleep”.

Speaking during an interactive civil session held on Tuesday, in division 8 of the Nigerian army in Sokoto, Musa applauded the troops for their dedication and success.

The warning against any interval of conduct or focus, the head of defense, represented by the recipient Olusanya Bankole, urged the troops to support the discipline, remain vigilant and continue to promote good relations with civil communities.

“The battle is only one, do not sleep, because your enemies do not sleep. Division 8 continues to praise. Merits praise and encouragement, your drop and every officer under operation Fasan Yamma deserve awards for the well -made work. People run away from you, not from you. The best intelligence comes from the civilians you will protect,” he said.

The major General Ibikunle Ajose, a commander general official (Goc) 8 Division, thanked the CDS for the recognition and reaffirmed the commitment of the division towards the operations focused on people.

“Cds leadership philosophy reminds us that the real success in the asymmetrical war lies only in the tactical earnings, but in winning the hearts and minds of our people. We are not from heaven. We have children, brothers, relatives, and let’s ask you do not return safely, we do not do it that they will not return home.

The visit presented lessons in human rights, gender and military violence, together with medical awareness, sports competitions and media commitments to strengthen the links between soldiers and local communities.
