Nigeria’s currency, the naira, appreciated against the United States dollar at the official window on Tuesday.
Officially, Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) foreign exchange data shows that the naira closed at N1,343.76/$1, compared with N1,356.18/$1 on Monday.
This represents a gain of N12.42 for the local currency against the American dollar.
On the black market, Nigeria’s currency, the naira, rose by N5 against the American dollar and traded at N1,405/$1 after trading at N1,410/$1 for the past four days.

The local currency strengthened by N10 against the British Pound, trading at N1,890/£1, compared with N1,900/£1 the previous day.
The Naira lost N100 against the Canadian dollar and traded at N1,100/CA$1 compared to the previous day’s rate of N1,000/CA$1.
The naira lost N5 against the euro, trading at ₦1,615/€1, compared to the previous day’s ₦1,610/€1.
