The Nigerian government closed the case in the Kanu trial for alleged terrorism

The Federal Government on Thursday closed its case in the ongoing trial from the leader of the Biafra indigenous community (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu, because of the alleged terrorism and betrayal in the Federal High Court, Abuja.

Federal government lawyer, Head of Adegboyega Awomolo (SAN), announced this after the fifth prosecution witness (PW-5), was identified as EEE for security reasons, cross-examined by Kanu’s lawyer, Onyechi Ikpeazu.

Awomolo said after calling five witnesses in the trial, the prosecution was satisfied that they had proven their case to the leader of the IPOB based on the avalanche of the evidence being tendered in the court.

After the announcement, the main legal counsel, the Head of Kanu Agabi (San), told the court that they would choose to submit without a case to be submitted on time.
