The police attacked the Anambra community after the cult’s clash, the arrest of 6

The police operation on Thursday raided a hiding place suspected of the OKO community, Orumba North Government Areas of the Anambra state for hard medicine and made a useful breakthrough.

Spokesman for the State Police Command, Tochukwu Ikenga, revealed this in a statement on Thursday at Awka.

He said the operators arrested six people during the raid and restored a large number of substances suspected of being drugs related to the suspects.

Ikenga registered the suspects to include Joseph Chukwura, Emmanuel Chukwuemeka, Ifey Agbanari, Chinedu Igwe, Mmadufor Chinecherem, Chibueze Chukwumankpam, and Mmadubom Uchenna.

The attack followed the alleged cult war on June 19 in Oko, which caused the death of two people and the abduction of two in the area.

The spokesman said the Commissioner of the State Police, Ikioye Orutugu, directed a large clampdown at all criminal activities in Oko and its surroundings after the clash.

“As a result, the police operators attached to the Special Anti-Cultus Enugwu Ukwu team in the early hours of June 25 broke drugs in OKO, arrested six suspects and restored a large number of various substances suspected of being difficult drugs,” he added.
