Tinubu faces the same insecurity blackmail that Jonathan -Fayose faced

Former governor of Ekiti State, Ayodele Fayose, has said the persistent challenge of insecurity across the country is a result of blackmail perpetrated by antagonists against the ruling government.

He explained that the same method was used against former President Goodluck Jonathan who was blackmailed when he was still in power, and was about to leave.

Fayose who spoke on Monday evening on Channels Television’s Politics Today said, “The President has shown focus and I want to tell you that when Jonathan is about to leave office, the same thing is happening as he is being blackmailed with insecurity.”

According to him, Tinubu has addressed the damage done to Nigeria by the administration of the late former President Muhammadu Buhari.

Fayose stated this while emphasizing that Tinubu is not a perfect person, but so far he has given his best.

He said: “Tinubu is not a perfect person but he has given his best, things got worse after the exit of Buhari.

“Tinubu handed over governance to himself by taking over from Buhari and as a good man who does not want to say that he has abandoned northerners, he is taking things with a grain of salt and managing the damage done to the country in the last administration”.
