2027: Bago chooses APC nomination forms for second term

Niger State Governor, Mohammed Umaru Bago, has chosen the governorship nomination form to run for a second term in the 2027 general elections.

The form was obtained for the Governor by farmer groups in the 25 local government areas to contest again on the platform of the APC.

The leader of the group who is also the President, All Nigeria Farmers Association, Niger State Chapter and Kusodu Nupe, Muhammad Manko Abubakar presented the forms to the Governor.

“The farmers of Niger State met and found it necessary to purchase the form for the Governor because of his immense support to farmers across the State.”

According to him, “since the beginning of his administration, farmers have felt his impact through agricultural transformation. He has shown exemplary leadership and has lived up to expectations as a farmer.”

He explained that the state currently has more than 2.7 million farmers and each of them will support him and vote for him in next year’s general elections.

Receiving the forms, Bago appreciated the farmers groups for the gesture and acknowledged their immense contribution not only to the stability of Niger State and Nigeria, but the entire West Africa.

He thanked the farmers for their continuous support to his administration and promised to always support them to achieve their desired goals.

He said: “Despite the challenges the country faces in terms of agriculture, our administration remains committed to agricultural development.

“Let me use this opportunity to urge other farmers to persevere as the state prepares for the next farming season.”
