2027 Elections: Sanwo-Olu, GAC and APC Members Support Tinubu, Hamzat

Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, members of the apex political body the State Governance Advisory Committee (GAC) and thousands of members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Lagos State on Sunday endorsed President Bola Tinubu and Deputy State Governor Obafemi Hamzat as consensus candidates for the office of President and Governor of Lagos State in 2027.

They supported the two at an event held at Tarawa Balewa Square, Lagos Island, organized by The Renewed Hope Network, tagged as the congregation’s special prayer for Jagaban Borgu.

Moderating the consensus vote for Tinubu and Hamzat, the state governor on Monday urged all party faithful to raise their hands if they indeed supported the two candidates as consensus candidates, the party supporters then raised their hands in unison.

Demonstrating their enthusiasm for the endorsement of Tinubu and Hamzat as consensus candidates, party supporters endured the scorching sun, while Christians among them abandoned church service to participate in the programme.

Addressing members of the party, the TRN Lagos state convener, Hon. James Faleke, urged party members to mobilize people to vote in the 2027 general elections.

He said if each member could mobilize a minimum of two people to vote on election day, it would have a significant impact.

He accused the electorate of voting en masse for Tinubu and Hamza in the 2027 elections and ignoring members of opposition parties and the falsehoods spread by them. He wondered how people who cannot fix their party and keep jumping from one party to another can fix Nigeria.
