Kogi State Governor, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, has continued his engagement with critical stakeholders and leaders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the state, as part of efforts to strengthen unity within the party and build a common front ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The Governor on Sunday paid a courtesy visit to Prince Mohammed Audu, son of the late former governor of Kogi State, Prince Abubakar Audu, in continuation of his ongoing peace-building and reconciliation efforts among stakeholders across the State.
The meeting According to a statement released by the Commissioner for Information and Communications, Kingsley Fanwo, provided an opportunity for the governor and Prince Mohammed Audu to discuss development issues in Kogi State, party unity and the importance of working together to advance the interests of the state and the APC.
The statement read: “Governor Ododo has in recent times met with key stakeholders across the state, seeking to bring together leaders and various tendencies within the party towards a common political and development agenda.
“The pledges are also aimed at mobilizing broad support for the administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, as well as the APC and its candidates in Kogi State ahead of the 2027 elections.
“The governor and Prince Mohammed Audu further discussed the need to continue to strengthen the APC at all levels and sustain the unity necessary for the party to remain a dominant force in the political landscape of Kogi State.
“Prince Mohammed Audu thanked Governor Ododo for the visit, describing the engagement as an important step towards greater cooperation between stakeholders.
“He expressed willingness to work closely with the Governor to attract development to Kogi State and contribute to efforts to strengthen the APC and ensure the party’s victory in the 2027 elections.
“The meeting is part of Governor Ododo’s wider consultations with political leaders, stakeholders and influential members of the APC, with the aim of fostering understanding, strengthening relationships and creating a united political platform for the development of Kogi State”
