Woman kills her husband and dumps body in unfinished building in Abuja

A woman identified as Rahimat Salaum is alleged to have killed her husband in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).

FCT police spokesperson Josephine Adeh confirmed the incident in a statement Tuesday.

He said the suspect was arrested by members of the Pegi Police Division while trying to escape with the victim’s belongings on Monday.

Adeh added that when interrogated, the woman admitted to killing her husband after a dispute.

“He then took police officers to an unfinished building, where he dumped the horribly burned body.

“While investigations are ongoing, the FCT Commissioner of Police, CP Benneth C. Igweh, wishes to reiterate that justice will be served in this matter.

“He appealed to residents to be aware of their surroundings and report any suspicious activity to the police,” the spokesman said.
