Shehu Sani blames North Korea for his problems, names causes

Former member of parliament for Kaduna Central senatorial district in the National Assembly, Shehu Sani, blamed the Northern leaders and people for the various problems that have plagued the region over the years.

Sani, who made the remarks in a post on his Facebook page on Monday, said the problems in the area were their own doing.

He appealed to the people of the North not to blame others for their misery.

In an article titled “The North; after blaming others, let’s look at ourselves,” the politician-turned-activist listed the suffering he himself caused in the north.

1. Most public schools are free, our young people still don’t want to go to school.

2. Most of us do not want our spouses to work or use their skills or talents to earn a living or contribute to the family. When we die, we leave them as helpless widows at the mercy of an unfriendly society.

3. Most young people do not want to work as apprentices in workshops or retail outlets because they do not have the heart and patience to serve.

4. Most parents in rural areas entrust their children to religious teachers in the city, so that the religious teachers depend on their children to beg or steal in order to support themselves and their families.

5. On the basis of ethnic, religious and class reasons, we protect, defend, praise and refuse to hold accountable all our brothers who have led this country at every wasted opportunity for more than five decades.

6. The bandits and terrorists who kill and kidnap our people and prevent our farmers from going to the fields and prevent our children from going to school are not from any country or from the southern region of this country; they came from our homes and families in the north. We worship with them in the same mosque.

7. We used to live side by side as one nation in peace, brotherhood and love, but then we became divided and hated ourselves along religious lines.

8. We don’t choose the people who will serve us, we choose the people who will give us spaghetti and beans.

9. We fabricate and spread all sorts of religious conspiracies to deny our children free health immunization against diseases and we end up producing hundreds of thousands of blind, crippled, lame and deaf children who grow up as disfigured victims of polio, glaucoma or leprosy, begging on the streets of cities in the north and south. Even Bill Gates who regularly shows interest in us, we have no kind words for.

10. Most of our women and girls do not have a business capital of 100 thousand but they have an iPhone worth N1.5 million. They do not have a capital of 100 thousand but can ‘fight’ to get a wedding hobby worth 500 thousand.

11. We deny most of our girls the right to continue their education after secondary school because of negative attitudes towards universities.

12. We don’t want our daughters to wear uniforms. Whenever the recruitment portal for Army, police, customs, immigration, civil defense opens, we don’t want our daughters to apply.

13. When our children graduate from college, especially state colleges, most of the parents who attend to celebrate and give appreciation to their children at the event are parents of students from the south.

14. Most of our industries and factories in Kano, Kaduna and Jos were closed when our brothers came to power.

15. Our farmers in rural areas were still farming with hoes while our brothers were in power. The pyramids and fields of peanuts and cotton disappeared long after our brothers came to power.

16. All spare parts, building materials and pharmacy stores in the north are private businesses owned by people from other areas who are not supported, funded or endorsed by any Government.

17. When our brothers are in power, we blame God and our sins for our poverty and insecurity; When our brothers are not in power, we blame the king for our suffering.

18. FCT is in the north,
Can anyone explain why people from that area cannot dominate private businesses in FCT and Suleja and Marraraba? Who is to blame for this?

19. Allah has given us the largest land area, the largest population, the largest number of rivers, abundant natural resources and livestock, and given us power for most of our history. Which of God’s favors can we not deny?

20. In the northern hemisphere, eighty percent of our problems are our own, not other people ‘outside of us’.”
