Suspected bandits have killed an aide to the Katsina State Governor, Alhaji Sanusi Ango Gyaza, and his wife.
Bandits killed Sanusi and one of his wives at his residence in Gyaza community, Kankia Local Government Area on Friday, August 16, 2024.
It was also learned that during the attack the bandits kidnapped his second wife, leaving the community in shock and mourning.
The deceased was a former president of the Nigerian Union of Teachers (NUT) in Kankia local area.
State Police Command spokesman Abubakar Sadiq confirmed the incident to reporters on Sunday.
“Yes, we are aware and monitoring the situation,” the PPRO said.
