President Bola Tinubu will swear in Justice Kudirat Kekere-Ekun as the new Chief Justice of Nigeria on Friday.
Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Ajuri Ngelale, disclosed this in a statement on Thursday in Abuja.
He said the new CJN would take the oath of office in the Council Chamber of the State Palace, Abuja.
Justice Kekere-Ekun will replace Justice Olukayode Ariwoola who left the bench on Thursday after reaching the retirement age of 70.
She became the second woman to serve as Head of State after Judge Mariam Mukhtar.
Mukhtar served as Nigeria’s top judicial official from July 2012 to November 2014.
