Madina’s dire situation; what has happened?

In the heart of the vast Zagros Mountains, Grandmother’s family lives. But last night, one of the goats from the herd did not return to the pen after grazing, and worry spread among the household. Nasro, Mahbubeh, and Madineh set out for the mountains to find it. Their path led them through steep valleys and rugged rocky terrain, where every step carried the risk of falling or encountering wild predators. Finally, at the end of a dry gorge, they found the lifeless body of the goat. A heavy silence fell among them; a lump formed in Mahbubeh’s throat, and with a sorrowful look, Nasro draped his shawl over the animal’s body. Nomadic life is full of nature’s beauty, yet at times, its harsh and merciless face also reveals itself.
