I was offered n7 billion in 1995 to reduce “Jesus” in songs, says Panam Percy Paolo

Although Paolo did not reveal the name of the record label, he said, however, they gave him a condition: he had to minimize his use of the name of Jesus in his songs.

The singer said instead, they suggested alternative names such as “just” or “bigger lover”.

The musician Asso said he was shocked by the request and immediately refused the offer.

He said he chose to give priority to his faith on financial earnings, adding that he told them that “you can keep the money while I keep the name”.

“Today, the extreme is that the Ministry of Music has become the music industry,” he added.

“Where the industry now imposes what to do to the ministers, how to sing and when to sing. For example, it was Alaba marketing experts who encouraged musicians who adding languages to their songs.”

The unique mixture of praise, adoration, country music and African Highlife of Paul has defined his ten -year career. With over 40 years in the sector, he has gained numerous awards and continues to receive recognition for his talent. [Thecable]
