UNACHU in the target, but the scare of injuries threatens Southampton’s decline fight

Super Eagles and Southampton striker Paul Onuachu found the 1-1 draw of his team against Crystal Palace at the St. Mary’s stadium on Wednesday night.

The striker received a rare start from Ivan Juric against one side of the Crystal Palace in a way that he had won his last five games in all competitions.

Onuachu reimburses the faith of its manager with a powerful header in the 20th minute, breaking the point of the dead.

The objective occurred after an excellent link between Flynn Downes and Mateus Fernandes, and the latter delivered a cross -knit cross.

It was onuachu his fourth goal of the season and offering Southampton a very necessary advantage.

Despite Palace’s attack threats, the Saints defended resolutely during much of the game. It seemed that they would ensure his third victory of the Premier League campaign, but his hopes were destroyed in the detention time.

Onuachu, who was doing his ninth start league, was forced in the 90th minute due to an injury. Only three minutes later, the defensive line of Southampton hesitated.

Jefferson Lerma turned on a cross from the left, finding Matheus França without marking in the box.

The young Brazilian guided his header beyond Aaron Ramsdale to score his first goal of the season and save a crucial point for the Oliver Glasner team.

Since the arrival of Juric, UNAchu has been a brilliant point in the descent fight of Southampton, scoring four goals after supporting a goal drought in early 2024.

However, with only eight Premier League games, Southampton continues seven points behind Leicester City.
