55 children serve the single Tenista Junior Tennis Open

A total of fifty -five players served Wednesday at the Tennis Open Junior Tenna Junior Tennis Tournament on the Rowe Park Tennis court in Yaba, Lagos.

This inaugural edition marks a significant milestone in the commitment of the foundation with the development of base tennis and youth empowerment.

Young players, who comprise men and women, exhibited exceptional skill and enthusiasm for the pre -minion of the tournament.

The first day matches were officiated by a team of 9 certified officials, ensuring a fair and competitive atmosphere throughout the event.

The president of the Tenista Foundation, Michael Nwoseh, said the tournament is more than a competition, but is a talent, passion and potential celebration.

He added that the tournament reflects the unwavering belief of the Tennista Foundation in the power of sport not only to transform lives but also to shape the resistant, focused and safe leaders of tomorrow.

“In the Tennista Foundation, we are committed to creating safe spaces and empowerrs so that young people dream of large, develop sand and discover greatness within them. Through tennis, we teach discipline, determination and value of the fair game values ​​that go far beyond the court,” he said.

Officials of the Sports Commission of the State of Lagos and the Tennis Association of the State of Lagos attended, who expressed their support for the initiative and praised the tennis foundation to invest in the future of young people through sports.

The tournament will run until April 19, 2025, with exciting games and a awards presentation ceremony to complete the event.
