Buter revealed that he shares a friendship and professional history with Adegun, who is now part of Plateau United’s technical setup.
While the reunion adds a personal dimension to the match, the immediate priority for both teams will be the fight on the field.
Sporting Lagos comes to Jos after a 2-1 comeback win over Bendel Insurance. They rallied from a goal down in the first 18 seconds, with Victor Samuel equalizing before Gafar Olaniyan scored the winner.
The result gave Sporting Lagos three points and gave them encouragement for their next mission.
Meanwhile, Plateau United will also approach the match with confidence after defeating Kano Pillars 4-0 in their previous league match. The result underlines the challenge that awaits the visitors, who must be prepared for a home team that is coming off a resounding victory.

Buter also welcomed the return of Odinaka Okoro to the team after some time away, while praising Samuel for his contribution against Bendel Insurance. Both developments could be important as Sporting Lagos look to maintain their momentum.
For Buter and Adegun, Sunday’s game will reunite former teammates on opposite sides of the technical area. However, once the match begins, the focus will be on the points at stake and which team can execute their plans most effectively.
Sporting Lagos will be hoping their comeback victory will set the stage for another strong performance, while Plateau United will look to make their home advantage count.
