The Nigerian striker, Umar Sadiq, continued his impressive form for Valencia, scoring a vital draw in his 1-1 draw against Rayo Vallecano in the league on Saturday.
Sadiq, 28, currently borrowed from Real Sociedad, left the bank to rescue a point for the Che, obtaining his fifth goal from the season only nine minutes after being introduced.
His effort canceled an objective of the defender of Valencia César Tárave, who had given the hosts the leadership shortly before part time.
The Manager of Valencia, Carlos Corberán, had initially opted for a two of Hugo Duro and Diego López, with Sadiq starting from the bank.
However, with his team behind and struggling to break the defense of Rayo, Corberán introduced the Nigerian in the 66th minute, replacing the Portuguese midfielder André Almeida.
Sadiq did not waste time causing an impact. In the 75th minute, he timed his career perfectly to meet a low crossing inside the box for his fifth Objective in 10 appearances in the League.
Its objectives have directly won a valuable contribution to their impulse to end strong this season.
However, Sadiq picked up its fifth yellow letter from the season during the game, discarding it from the next match of the next Valencia League, a crucial shock of intermediate tits against Espanyol on Tuesday in the Mestalla.
Despite the reverse, Valencia extended his undefeated streak in the league seven games of his longest streak since December 2021 with Sadiq playing a fundamental role in that resurgence.
With Sadiq’s return, demonstrating to be fundamental, the Nigerian striker could be disputed by the Super Eagles before the next international matches in May, especially if he continues to show the type so that he has revitalized the attack of Valencia in recent weeks.
