Timaya remembers how he sells his first album for the N500K, second

Singer Dancehall Nigeria Enetimi Odon, who is known among music as Timaya, has revealed how he sells his first album for the N500,000 and sells the body of both of his work for N24 million.

The singer ‘True Story’, who opened during the interview at Podcast Afrobeats Intelligence with Joey, said that he had to sell his first album for that number at that time because he really needed to enter the Lagos market.

He revealed that his first album, which had several popular songs such as ‘Dem Mama’, ‘Ogologoma’, and ‘True Story,’ became Hit, and marketers who bought the N7 million extra album to record music videos for the album.

Timaya said, “He (marketers) gave me 7 million naira for music videos, paying videos, and even bought me a car … he called me a good market,” Timaya said about the commercial success of his debut album.

Following the wide popularity of his debut album, Timaya recorded his second album, “Gift and Grace,” which he later revealed sold to marketers for N24 million.

“I was valued at 10 million by the first marketer, then Abu Ventures came and offered to buy an album. He finally paid 24 million for the album. At that time, only 2baba, P-Square, and D’Bar were paid to record the money,” Timaya said.
