FG guarantees an uninterrupted vehicular movement on Mokwa Bridge-Noa
The National Orientation Agency (Noa) has reassured the Nigerians, in particular those who moved along the road to Mokwa in the state of the Niger, of the continuous security and accessibility of the Mokwa bridge. He said that the vehicular movement will remain uninterrupted, as necessary measures are taken to maintain the free flow of traffic and face any emerging concerns.
After a visit to the Mokwa flood website yesterday, Mallam Lanre Issa-Sylilu, general manager of the agency, said that the federal government made efforts to deal with public apprehension, underlining the government’s commitment to guarantee fluid and without obstacles along the vital corridor.
He observed that proactive measures are taken to mitigate any interruptions and preserve the integrity of the road network.
In addition, the agency has warned motorists from the purchase of panic and the accumulation of oil products, warning that these actions could trigger artificial scarcity, interrupt the supply chains, life and properties in danger and aggravate the situation.
The National Orientation Agency (Noa) also invited the Nigerians to continue their daily activities without fear, ensuring the public that the government is actively addressing all the issues related to the bridge. He stressed that the vehicular movement to and from the main northern cities such as Kaduna, Abuja and Sokoto remains unchanged.
Reiterating the dedication of the Federal Government to the regular movement of people and goods across the country, Noa stressed that the safety and well -being of citizens remain an absolute priority.
The agency also urged all interested parties, including transporters, traders and the public general, to cooperate with the competent authorities and support the current efforts. He encouraged citizens to report any concern for appropriate agencies for a quick response and resolution
