The legal team representing the hip-hop star, Sean Puffy Combs, aka Puff Daddy, has officially requested the cancellation of the trial for alleged violations by the prosecution in his ongoing trial for sexual violence, human trafficking, and other criminal accusations.
Now, the music star’s defense team that was fought made a second effort to be tried because the prosecution gave cheating testimony.
Combs lawyers argued in a court record that the Federal Prosecutor acted unethically by failing to express important evidence, use media leaks incorrectly, and make a biased pretrial statement, all of which they claim to have endangered trial justice.
The singer defending team claimed in a letter to Judge Arun Subramanian on Saturday that the government deliberately allowed misleading testimony about the alleged September 2016 incident at Cassie Ventura Apartment, where he allegedly threatened Bryana Bongolan.
In recent months, Combs have dealt with an increase in the number of legal problems.
In 2023 and 2024, music stars were the target of various lawsuits that accused major crimes, many of them came from decades ago, such as sexual violations, physical harassment, and human trafficking.
The pressure increased when the federal authority raided his house in Miami and Los Angeles in early 2024 as part of the ongoing investigation, even though he had denied all accusations.
