APC SCRIBE denied the claim to reach to Aregbesola, reiterate loyalty to Tinubu

The National Secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Ajibola Basiru, has been fired as a fake latest report that suggests he is looking for reconciliation with the Minister of Home Affairs Orger, Rauf Aregbesola, ahead of the competition of the Governor of the State Osun.

Describing the accusation as a fabrication designed to tarnish his reputation, Basiru made it clear that there was no political or personal contact with Aregbesola since their political division in 2021.

“There is no crisis at Osun APC,” said Sulaiman Ajala, a spokesman for the Basiru campaign, in a statement issued on Monday in Osogbo.

This clarification occurred after several online platforms claimed that Basiru, a frontline APC candidate for Governor Osun, reached for Aregbesola to get support in securing party tickets. The report also accused differences of internal opinion in the APC after the meeting of the new Tinubu Bola President with the Governor of State Osun Ademola Adeleke.

Ajala firmly rejected the claim, emphasizing Basiru’s loyalty that was not shaken to the President.

“Basiru has never criticized the President of Tinubu Bola for the visit of Governor Ademola Adeleke Baru -this new to the President, also did not know what was discussed during the meeting.
Basiru has enjoyed more than two decades of loyal and respectful relations with President Tinubu, who he considers as a father and mentor.
He will never damage the president or associate with individuals who oppose Tinubu’s political ideology. “

Ajala also insists that the campaign team remains professional and focuses on problems.

“Our organization is disciplined and focused on problems, not insult,” he said.

Issuing what he described as a coordinated smear campaign, “Ajala warned those who were responsible for stopping” evil lies and incitement. “

He concluded by reaffirizing Basiru’s commitment to APC and his leadership.

“Basiru remains committed to the ideals of APC and will continue to serve parties and people with loyalty, humility, and integrity,” he said.

Basiru’s further statement from every reconciliation effort with Aregbesola, who parted with APC after protracted internal conflicts among the political circles of Osun.
