Interim president of the chapter of the state of Bayelsa of the Democratic Party (PDP), Barr. George Turnah, praised President Bola Tinubu, the Minister of FCT Barr. Nyesom Wike, the Supreme Court and the 27 suspended members of the assembly of the Chamber of the Assembly as exemplary defenders of democracy in 2025.
The National Secretary of the PDP Samuel Anyanwu and the South-South Zonal vice-president for their constant commitment for democratic principles also praised the National Secretary of the PDP.
In a declaration issued by his media helper, PST. Kelvin Loveday-Egbo, to celebrate the day of democracy, Turnoh praised the resolute leadership of President Tinubu in the protection of democracy, in particular in the state of sparrows, among the political challenges.
He highlighted the fundamental role of the Supreme Court in supporting judicial independence, noting his bold judgments against non -democratic practices as a milestone of the democratic framework of Nigeria.
Turnoh described the Minister of FCT Nyesom Wike as a relentless supporter of transparent governance, underlining his efforts to combat impunity in the state of sparrows and in the PDP.
He also greeted the 27 suspended members of the state of the state of spinners, led by Martins Amawhule, for their unshakable position against non -democratic governance, despite personal sacrifices.
In addition, Turnoh celebrated Senator Anyanwu and Capo Orbih as “resistance champions” for their courageous opposition to non -democratic forces within the PDP. Anyanwu’s legal battle against his unjust removal as national secretary of the PDP and the struggle of Orbih against attempts to divert the south-south structure of the party have been mentioned as powerful examples of democratic resilience.
“These Tinubbu leaders, the Supreme Court, Barr. Wike, the 27 members of the Pro-Wike assembly, the Senator Anyanwu and the Head Orbih-Sono the pillars of Nigerian democracy,” said Turnah.
“Their courage and discussion inspire hope and dedication to justice and fair governance.”
The declaration concluded by urged the Nigerians to draw inspiration from these figures, underlining that their collective efforts strengthen the need for active participation to support a right and democratic society.
