Afrobeats star Nigeria David Adeleke, alias Davido, has announced that he will not attend an eternal event that is highly anticipated on July 3 at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London.
On Saturday, Davido announced news on his Instagram account, pointing to unresolved concerns and significant differences with iconic prizes and Necto Future Group, the organizer of the event.
He claimed that regardless of collaboration, unwavering support, and the preparation of a diligent team, the organizer did not meet the important requirements needed to provide supporters with the performance caliber they expected.
He explained that his decision was motivated by the philosophy and respect for his profession, fans, and the culture he represented rather than lack of public interest or poor ticket sales. He explained that the caliber of his appearance would not be compromised.

“Despite the support of strong fans and impressive ticket sales, there is a big misalignment regarding the execution of the event. Unfortunately, this problem has not yet been resolved.” Davido wrote.
He also denied the speculation of critics that low ticket sales may have contributed, emphasizing that his choice was motivated by honesty and respect for fans rather than money or presence.
“My team and I have worked tirelessly in preparation, and I am very grateful to thousands of fans who bought tickets to anticipate. This decision is a matter of principle and respect for my craft, my fans, and the culture that I represent.” Davido added.
