Naira continued to slide into the dollar in the official window

Nigerian currency, Naira, continued to slide against the US dollar on the official window on Wednesday.

Nigerian central bank data (CBN) shows that Naira is closed on N1.549.20/$ 1 compared to N1.545.26/$ 1 which is traded on Tuesday.

This is the loss of N3.94 for local currencies against American Greenback.

In the black market, Naira lost N5 to the dollar to be traded in N1.605/$ 1, compared to the previous day level N1.600/$ 1.

Naira closes flatly against the British pound to trade at N2.160/£ 1.

Likewise, the local currency is closed flat against the Canadian dollar to be traded at N1.200/Ca $ 1.

This obtains N5 against Euros to trade in ₦ 1,795/€ 1 compared to ₦ 1,800/€ 1 before.
