NGX: Ikeja Hotel, Beta Glass among the top entities because investors get the N677BN

Investors at the Nigerian equity market obtained the N677 billion at the close of trade on Thursday.

This follows the surge in stock prices such as Ikeja Hotel PLC, Beta Glass PLC and Legend Internet, among others, on the trading floor.

The Benchmark All-Share Index (ASI) increased to 117,861.13 points from 116,786.87 points recorded on the previous day.

After five hours of trading in the capital market, the capitalization of equity rose to N74.3 trillion from N73.6 trillion posted by Bourse on Wednesday.

The extent of the positive market because 43 shares advanced, 20 shares declined, and 85 shares remained unchanged in 17,257 agreements.

Ikeja Hotel PLC, Beta Glass PLC and Legend Internet, lead other growth with 10% growth, 9.98% and 9.92% each in the price closed at N15.40, N276.00 and N7.20 from N14.00, N250.95 and N6.55 per previous share.

Guinea Insurance, Haldane McCall and C&I Leasing PLC led other prices with 9.21%, 5.88% and 5.84% stock price reduction to N0.69, N4.00 and N4.35 from N0.76, N4.25 and N4.62 per previous share.

On the volume index, Breweries Champions led trade with 332 million shares in 109 agreements, followed by a trust holding guarantee, which was traded 62 million shares in 868 agreements.

PZ Cussons Nigeria trade 46 million shares in 262 agreements.

In the value index, Stocks Trust Holding (GTCO) which is required by N5 billion in 868 agreements, followed by Champions Breweries, who trade equity worth N2.2 billion in 109 agreements.

MTN Nigeria traded shares worth N2.0 billion in 767 agreements.
