Odah wants Plateau United to maintain winning momentum

Plateau United goalkeeper Okiemute Odah has urged his teammates to maintain their impressive form following last Sunday’s emphatic 4-0 win over Kano Pillars in the Nigerian Premier Football League, NPFL.

The Peace Boys recorded a dominant victory at the New Jos Stadium, handing Kano Pillars their first defeat of the season.

Paul Samson and Ekundayo Ojo found the net in the first half to give Plateau United a comfortable lead before Samuel Ayanrinde and Nenrot Silas added two more goals after the break to complete the rout.

The goalkeeper also thanked his teammates and coaching staff for their collective efforts in securing the convincing victory.

“I want to thank my teammates and the coaches because it is a collective effort. The result against Kano Pillars is good for us, and if we continue like this, we will do even better,” Odah told the Plateau United media.

“I want to urge the fans to continue supporting us so we can do this and we will make them proud.”

Plateau United, coached by Gbenga Ogunbote, currently sit third in the NPFL standings with 14 points from eight matches.

The Jos-based team will look to extend their winning streak when they host Sporting Lagos in their next league match on Sunday.
