A Promise is the sixth track from Umhlekisi’s project, also titled Umhlekisi. Intecijile is the closing track. It is the sixth song, the closing statement of a well-prepared musical statement released in 2026.

The song has its roots in South African craftsmanship, but echoes the short, editorial aesthetic that defines the entire endeavor. Its position as the last track indicates an intentional choice, bringing together themes and sounds explored throughout the album.

Intecijile’s presence in A promise completes the narrative arc offered by Umhlekisi, serving as the artist’s vision in a small but significant structure. The importance of the piece is underlined by its role as the final chapter within the entire six-song publication.
