Terry G claims he is pioneering on a smoking screen for Nigerian artist

Nigerian singer Gabriel Amanyi, aka Terry G, has triggered a new controversy in the country’s music industry after he claimed that he pioneered the Rami Indian smoking, or known as marijuana, on the screen.

Claims of singers made on his x page profile (previously Twitter) had raised responses, with many who pointed to historical figures such as Fela Anapulapo Kuti, who openly took similar actions long before he received extensive recognition.

According to Hitmaker “Free Madness”, his “sacrifice” helps normalize the depiction of the use of marijuana by a number of Nigerian musicians on TV today.

He wrote: “There is no loud feeling, it’s all love, but don’t forget to say if it doesn’t become my sacrifice, there is no favorite for you to get IGBO smoking hearts for the screen.”
