The Kingdom of Terror of Turji: 44 security agents feared deaths in an ambush of mortal zamfara

No less than 44 security agents were feared killed in a new wave of bloodshed presumably orchestrated by the famous bandit boss, Bello Turji, in the area of the local government of Shinkafi in the state of Zamfara.

The gruesome attack, which took place in a remote area near Shinkafi, caused the life of 40 members of the Joint Task Force (JTF) and four soldiers, according to a post of a security analyst called Bakatsine on X (previously Twitter).

According to reports, the ambush occurred while the agents were responding to intelligence on the movement of armed bandits in the area. Turji’s fighters, heavily armed and strategically positioned, opened fire on advanced troops, leaving death and many other injured.

Confirming the carnage scale, Bakatsine said: “Bello Turji killed 40 JTF members and four soldiers near Shinkafi LGA, in the state of Zamfara, burning a military vehicle”.

In a chilling escalation of violence, it was said that Turji also published a video showing the execution of a former bandit transformed according to Bashari Maniya, who accused of betraying for having collaborated with the security forces.

The Nigerian military and other security agencies have yet to issue an official statement on the accident at the time of submitting this report.

However, security analysts fear that the attack underlines the growing audacity and the tactical refinement of non-state armed actors in the North-West.

Bello Turji remained one of the most sought after and dangerous leaders of Nigeria, accused of having looked at numerous attacks on the communities and security formations through Zamfara, Sokoto and Katsina.

The last ambush raises renewed concerns about the safety of troops on field operations and on the general strategy of the government in confronting the ten -year threat of bandits in the region.

The residents of Zamfara continued to ask for urgent intervention by the federal government to restore peace to the besieged state, which has become an epicenter of insecurity and mass displacement.
