Nigeria Sprint’s Hurdler, Tobi Amusan, returned to the top of the podium with style on Tuesday, ensuring gold in the 100 -meter obstacles of women at the Ostrava Golden Spike meeting in the Czech Republic.

The current African and Commonwealth champion recorded an impressive 12.45s to ensure a dominant victory, ending very much ahead of their rivals. ViktΓ³ria Forster of Slovakia took second place at 12.74s, while Sarah Lavin de Ireland followed him closely with 12.76s. Both recorded the best of the season in a race clearly dominated by Amusan.
The victory occurs only weeks after AmusΓ‘n ran its second time faster of 12.24s in Paris, since it generates impulse ahead of the 2028 Olympic Games.
With his recent performances, the 2022 world champion is reinforcing his credentials as one of the main contestants for Olympic gold and is gradually finding his championship rhythm at the right time.
Amusan’s victory in Ostrava is his second great victory in Europe this season and serves as a strong statement for his world rivals before an stacked summer of athletics.
