Nigeria Basketball Federation (NBBF) has announced a preliminary squad as a preparation for 2025 FIBA Afrobasket which was collected at Cote D’AVoire at the end of the year.
In a statement provided by the federation, it was stated that the team would start their training camp with exhibition games.
It reads: “Ahead of the FIBA 2025 Women’s Afrobasket Championship which will come to Abidjan, Cote D’AVoire, NBBF has announced a preliminary squad for the senior women’s national team, D’W Ivress, when the team officially started preparations officially to defend their titles.
“As part of the road map to the championship, the team will open a training camp with a series of structured activities, including their highly anticipated return games.

“This exhibition match, will function well as a celebration of team success and key elements in evaluating player performance because the technical crew works towards the final list selection.
“NBBF remains committed to gathering the strongest team that is possible to represent Nigeria, with the ultimate goal to maintain the dominance of our continent and bring home other Afrobasket degrees.
