Lagos does to honor the legendary Billy Than with Lifetime Achievement Award

The Lagos State Football Association is preparing to honor and celebrate the former Star Player of Cancellery Articles, Biliaminu “Billy” Than, with a prize for achieving life.

As stated by the president of Lagos Fa, Hajji Gafar Liamemed, this prize aims to recognize and celebrate the legendary player for his significant contribution to the progress of football in the state of Lagos.

“This prize, which also includes a generous cash prize, has been established by Lagos makes the annual event to honor the past and current legends of this sport. This initiative is part of the various efforts of the Lagos makes board to encourage, promote and develop football within the state,” explained Hajji Liamered.

At 80, Than is the oldest living winner of the President Federation Cup. Renowned for his agility and speed, the talented wing won the cup, previously known as National Challenge Cup, in 1982, when the stationery articles stores triumphed on the Tornado of the Niger with a score of 4-1 in the final held in the main bowl of the National Stadium of Lagos.
