Omeruo binds to CFR Cluj in free transfer

The defender of Super Eagles, Kenneth Omeruo, has sealed a movement towards the Romanian side Cfr Cluj after the expiration of his contract with the Turkish club Kasımpşa.

The experienced central joins the attire of the Romanian League I in a free transfer as part of the club’s summer recruitment campaign.

The measure marks a new chapter in the career of the 31 -year -old player, who brings a wealth of international experience and club to the Cluj background line.

Omeruo has been limited 68 times for Nigeria since he debuted in 2013, and was a key member of the team that lifted the 2013 African Nations Cup. It was also included in the final team of the Super Eagles for the 2014 FIFA World Cup.

At club level, Omeruo has played in several European leagues, with periods in England, the Netherlands, Spain and TΓΌrkiye, accumulating more than 300 appearances.

He was lent to 5 different clubs during his seven years in Chelsea, before finally signing for Leganes in a permanent agreement.

Omeruo becomes the last incorporation of the club in the summer window and will hope to start running as the preseason preparations continue.
