Cjn, Kekere-Eekun appoints judge Babunde Adejumo Nji …

The main judge of Nigeria Cjn, judge Kudirat Kekere-Eekun, approved the appointment of judge Babaude Adeniran Adejumo as administrator of the National Judicial Institute, Nji.

Judge Adejumo, former president of the National Industrial Court of Nigeria, has its appointment in force from 1 August 2025.

A declaration that confirms the appointment stated that the action of the CJN followed the approval of the justice Adejumo by the Board of Directors of the National Judicial Institute, which is under his presidency.

Adejumo succeeds Judge Salisu Garba Abdullahi, whose mandate as an administrator will end on July 31, 2025, after four years of meritorious service.

This appointment was taken by Chief Justice of Nigeria, following the due consultation with the Council of Governors, in accordance with the provisions of the National Judicial Institute Act.

The CJN expressed appreciation for the outgoing administrator for its tireless commitment and precious contributions to the growth and development of the Nigerian institute and judiciary as a whole.

Judge Babaunde Adejumo, respected jurist and expert administrator, was president of the Nigeria National Industrial Court until his retreat in 2019.

A declaration by Mr. Tobi Soniyi, Senior Special Assistant, medium, said that the experience of judge Adejumo and the profound understanding of the judicial administration were qualities that should have improved the institution’s efforts to promote the development of judicial capacity and institutional innovation.

The National Judicial Institute is the Apex institution responsible for continuous training, training and development of bailiffs and their support staff at all levels of the judiciary.

It serves as a center for excellence in judicial studies, with a mandate to promote the efficiency, uniformity and improvement of the quality of judicial services at national level.

The Institute usually performs courses, seminars, conferences and other academic and professional programs tailor -made to improve the knowledge, performance and ethical standards of bailiffs and staff in line with global practices.
