Seven Repetitions Join APC at Akwa Ibom

Seven members of the House of Representatives on Thursday joined the Congress of All Progressive (APC) from. Various opposition parties in the state of Akwa Ibom.

Six of the seven defenders came from the people’s Democratic Party (PDP) while one member came from the Young Progressive Party (YPP).

PDP defects are Unyime Idem, Martins Esin, Paul Ekpo, Uduak Odudoh, Okpolu Etteha and Bassey Okon.

Emmanuel Ukpong-Audo is the only defector from YPP.

The latest restrictions came a few weeks after Governor Umo Eno. Dumped PDP for APC.

Eno had shortly before the defector asked the commissioners and other state government officials to join him at APC.
