Naira’s Sheds N5.24 against the dollar in the official window

The Nigerian currency, Naira, depreciated the US dollar in an official window on Thursday.

Nigerian central bank data (CBN) shows that Naira is closed on N1, 525.98/$ 1 compared to N1, 520.74/$ 1 which is traded on Wednesday.

This is the loss of N5.24 for local currencies against American Greenback.

In the black market, Naira obtained an N2 to the dollar to trade at N1.545/$ 1, compared to the previous day level N1.547/$ 1.

Local currency closed flat against the British pound to trade at N2.155/£ 1.

Naira also closed flatly against Canadian dollars to be traded in N1.200/Ca $ 1.

However, it obtained the N10 against Euro to trade in ₦ 1,800/€ 1 compared to the previous day level ₦ 1,810/€ 1.
