More and more UN peacekeepers are being sent to places where peace cannot be maintained – due to a lack of resources, weapons and violence they are unable to resist. The Security Council met this afternoon in New York to address the issue, and Secretary-General António Guterres briefed ambassadors on how to close the gap.
