Ijebu Ife Day 2026 celebrations begin on October 6

Activities marking this year’s Ijebu Ife Day celebrations will commence from October 6 with a host of exciting programs such as health walk, medical awareness activities, indoor games, Woro, school debates/quizzes, carnival, marathon, beauty contests and football competitions (finals) sponsored by IMBIL Telecoms.

The school quiz/debate will be held on October 7 while the marathon, indoor games and medical awareness are scheduled for October 8, 2026

Medical awareness activities continue on October 9, with the final football competition taking place at Ijebu Ife Community Grammar School by 4pm.

On October 9, the ceremony begins with Woro, followed by the Jumat service at the Central Mosque, Ijebu Ife, immediately followed by the Ikokore/Miss Ijebu Ife Beauty Peagant Carnival and Night packaged by IMBIL Telecoms held at the Ajalorun Palace, Legacy Hall from 7pm.

The grand finale and tribute to our revered monarch, His Royal Highness Oba Adesesan Afolorunso Oguntayo FCA JP, Ajalorun of Ijebu Ife, is set for Saturday, October 10 at Ajalorun Palace, Ijebu Ife.
King Apala, Alhaji Musiliu Haruna Island and Lufemi and the African Band will thrill guests and natives.

The Thanksgiving service will complete a week’s worth of activities on Sunday, October 11, 2026
