The General Accounting Office of the Federation (OAGF) has blamed a technical problem for the delay in paying the salaries of June 2025 to public employees in some ministries, departments and agencies (MDA).
In a declaration issued on Friday by the information director, Bawa Mokwa, the OAGF has recognized growing concerns about the non -payment of salaries, in particular for employees whose accounts are domiciled with Zenith Bank Plc.
“At the survey, it was discovered that the wage payments for employees in various MDAs were interested in a technical problem of the network during the processing of the salaries in the bank,” reads the note.
The OGF expressed regret for the delay, detecting the importance of timely wage payments for the well -being and responsibilities of public employees.
“We deeply remember the inconvenience that this unfortunate accident caused and we wish to ensure all the interested employees that immediate measures have been taken to solve the problem,” said Mokwa.
He has also revealed that the OAGF is working closely with service providers and interested parties to portray transactions not managed without further delays.
“We appeal to all the staff interested in the federal public service to remain calm and we are sure that no effort will be spared to guarantee everyone who receive their legitimate salaries,” added the note.
By reiterating their commitment to the well -being of workers, the OAGF has ensured public employees that transparency, responsibility and efficiency remain central to its wages operations.
“We remain open to a continuous commitment with the interested parties to guarantee improvements supported in our provision of services,” he concluded.
