The former security guard of the US Embassy who was accused of spying in Norway

A former security guard at the United States Embassy in Oslo, Norway, was charged with spying on Russia and Iran.

The prosecutor accused the man, a Norwegian, carried out a serious espionage activity related to the US and Norway, the NRK public broadcaster reported.

He is said to have delivered the blueprint of the embassy, address, and other information for Iran and Russian contacts, according to court documents.

The 27-year-old man, reportedly arrested in November, acknowledged the facts set by the accusation but denied criminal guilt.

The trial will begin in mid -August, and the defendant faces 21 years in prison if proven guilty.
