Orban scores in Amedspor’s 3-2 win over Besiktas

Gift Orban scored and also provided an assist as Amedspor beat Beşiktaş 3-2 in the Turkish Süper Lig on Sunday.

Orban has taken his tally in the Turkish top flight to seven goals and two assists in six games.

Furthermore, the 24-year-old has scored in his last four league games for Amedspor.

Super Eagles captain Wilfred Ndidi did not play for Besiktas as he was an unused substitute in the match.

Orban opened the scoring in the 13th minute with a powerful long-range shot (about 25 meters), before setting up Dia Saba to make it 2-0 in the 22nd minute.

Former Juventus striker Dusan Vlahovic reduced the deficit to bring the score to 2-1 10 minutes into the second half, but Furkan Soyalp restored Amedspor’s two-goal lead when he made it 3-1.

With six minutes remaining, Amedspor were reduced to 10 men after Amadou Cisse received a straight red card.

In the 98th minute, Besiktas regained the 3-2 lead after Orkun Kökçü converted a penalty, but Amedspor held on to take the three points.
