The Ministry of the Interior reveals the official name for ECMs … while the PS 2025 contract with the administrators
Abuja (Core reporter) while the Ministry of the Interior is set to launch the company content management system (ECMS), the permanent secretary, the Ministry of the Interior, Dr. Magdalene Ajani has revealed entirely as its name. The presentation was the highest point of the signing ceremony of the Performance contract of the Directors of the Ministry with the Permanent Secretary.
In his address, the permanent secretary, dr. Magdalene Ajani expressed a fingers for the high level of commitment and creativity shown by all the departments of the internal denomination competition launched to give the ECMS initiative a unique and culturally resonant identity.
He said that with the whole hour he was formally called, the journey to the formal launch of the ECM has begun, since the ministry is ready to guide the change in efficient and paper without paper, guaranteeing greater transparency, responsibility and supply of services.
In recognition of exceptional contributions, the press and public relations department and internal audit have been announced as winners for sending the selected name. Both the departments and the people who proposed the name have been recognized and rewarded for their unshakable commitment and the incessant push towards the realization of this visionary project.
The permanent secretary revealed that the revaluation of the 2024 objectives would have contributed to promptly complete the evaluations of the first and second quarter for 2025, ensure that all employees have performance contracts in the ministry and align the departmental plans with the results of MPMS to prepare adequately to the portrait for the performance of the imminent service.

Speaking at the forum, the permanent secretary, dr. Magdalene Ajani, said that the revision of the 2024 performance management contract was necessary to strengthen the actual performance management system between the departments and agencies of the Ministry of Interior as part of the reform under the Nigerian civil service.
Dr. Magdalene Ajani in the internal involvement session with departmental representatives, which was held from 28 to 31 July 2025 in the Ministry underlined the need for clear and measurable performance standards to improve the provision of public services.
The session discussed the importance of the full implementation of the adoption and integration of the ministerial performance management system (MPMS), departmental planning and individual performance. Dr. Ajani has encouraged all staff to take the property of their key key indicators, adhere to the deadlines and actively participate in the MPMS cycle. He also stressed that the final objective is the responsibility, transparency and effective provision of the service in line with the renewed agenda of the hope of the Federal Government
The revision focused on the redefinition of what the “performance” means within the operating context of the Ministry in relation to the ministerial performance management system (MPMS) that the minister signed with the president in line with the mandate of the Ministry.
The CEO and the main consultant, Zimedy Services, Engr. Udoh Udoh explained that, in implementing the performance management system (PMS), the Ministry of the Interior is working to align all departmental activities with the standardized key performance indicators (KPI) to ensure better productivity, transparency and satisfaction of citizens. It also focuses on measurable services that align themselves with the wider vision of the federal government to build a more reactive, professional and focused civil service.
The representative of the chief of the Civil Service of the Federation, Mrs. Funmilola Salawu, who is a staff of the performance management department, said that the Ministry of the Interior has shown a strong commitment to institutionalizing the performance management system (PMS) by dedicating four days of importance for the update account. Each department defended its service, followed by a revision and signature of the contract for the new year.
He said that this process meant that the directors fully understood and have taken the ownership of their commitments, marking a significant step in incorporating the PMS in the Ministry’s operations.
