He also explained that the initiative will prioritize the girls, with a 70:30 participation relationship of girls and boys.

Akogun said: “Set4lyf is designed to equip our teenagers with skills that count most in today’s world and tomorrow’s economy. Through this initiative, they will be authorized with leadership skills that will help them develop a bold mentality and guided by value and trust in driving. They will acquire entrepreneurial skills to unlock their creativity and develop adventures real. “

For his part, the Minister of Affairs of Women and Social Development, Imaan Sulaiman-Ibrahim said that Set4lyf is a vision made with a purpose and rooted in a deep conviction that every Nigerian child has the right to be listened to, equipped and authorized to drive with confidence and influence.

The minister, represented by the permanent secretary of the ministry, Maryam Keshinro described the program as “a movement to turn on the future”, stating that “a truly developed nation must cultivate all children to achieve their full potential”.

“With over 70% of the Nigerian population under the age of 30, we are sitting on a demographic gold mine. The young Nigerians are not only promising, they are delivering. From the sections in the 99th percentile in international tests such as the Sat and the SATs for having won six global coding, Ai and robotics with robotics competitions in 2024, our youth shows that they can compete and win in the world” He said to coding global, ai and global robotics competitions in the world of robotics.

“As we launch Set4lyf, we do it with a renewed commitment: that every child, girl or girl or boy rural or urban, vulnerable or endowed, will increase, will guide and modify a Nigeria that is sure, just, inclusive and ready future”, he added.

Olaolu Akogun has also observed that “participants will get digital literacy that will guarantee that they are not only users of technology, but creators, owners and innovators. And with strong life skills, they will become safe and resilient young people with effective communication skills with a clear sense of the purpose. We are preparing not only to participate in society, but to guide it,” he said.

According to him, the program will be delivered in schools, fields, houses and communities in all six geopolitical areas of Nigeria, using content focused on social learning and action.

“In collaboration with Junior Achievement Africa, we are working to build a future in which every Nigerian is not only seen or listened to, but enhanced, equipped and unstoppable. Through collaboration, innovation and intentional investments, we are collecting a generation that is not only set for life but ready to guide. A enabled girl is an established nation,” he said.

One of the beneficiaries, Anyebonime Jennifer, a student of the International Cyprus, who spoke with the basic journalists on the field of the event expressed his excitement in being part of the program. He observed that women’s voices are not listened enough and said that the initiative offers the opportunity to fill this gap.

“I feel very privileged to be part of this. Most of the time it seems that the girl does not have many privileges. So it is good to have a platform for which your voice to be supported. This program will give me more knowledge of the things that happen. Even my personality and my willpower are more in the country,” he said.

In the meantime, the president of the National Parliament for children, Progress Umboh, encouraged the girls to speak for their generation, while praised in the Ministry and Jan for their commitment to the growth and development of children.
