CDCFIB approves the promotion of 30 correction ACG

Abuja (core reporter) The civil service board, correction, fire and immigration (CDCFIB) has approved the promotion of thirty (30) corrections controller (CCS) to the degree of assistant General Controller of corrections (ACG). This decision is in line with its commitment to merit -based progress, professional excellence and continuous strengthening of leadership within the Nigerian correction service (NCO).

A declaration by the deputy controller of the corrections, of the public relations official, Umar Abubakar said that among the officers who have just promoted are twenty -seven (27) general service officials who have shown an exceptional dedication, leadership and operational competence in various formations across the country. In addition, three (3) professional officials were also high in recognition of their exceptional service and contributions specialized in the sectors of medical laboratory science, nursing assistance and public health.

The declaration said: “This promotion exercise reflects the reform agenda in progress in the service, in line with the renewed agenda of the hope of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR under the guidance of the honorable interior minister Dr. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo whose constant commitment to reposition the service for greater efficiency and professionalism is not expected.”

In the meantime, the general corrections controller (CGC), Sylvester Nwakuche, congratulated the officers just promoted and urged them to double their efforts for the supply of services, the strategic leadership and the fundamental mandates of reform, rehabilitation and reinstatement of prisoners.

He stressed that the promotion is not only a reward for past performance, but also an invitation to greater responsibility in line with the best global practices in corrective management. He reiterated that the service remains committed to building a motivated, disciplined and professional workforce capable of meeting the complex needs of modern corrections and public safety.
