Caf 2025 ranking: Main Nigerian representation of Rivers United

The African Soccer Confederation (CAF) has launched its latest club ranking before the 2025/26 Continental campaign.

The preliminary raffle of the Caf Champions League round and the Confederation Cup will take place tomorrow in Tanzania.

Rivers United Football Club emerged as the best classified Nigerian team, placing 24º in the continental list with 14 points.

The Port Harcourt -based club has been Nigeria’s most consistent representative in CAF competitions in recent seasons.

Enyimba Football Club, the most successful club in Nigeria in the continent, the 30 best clubs were lost in the last CAF ranking, placing 35º with 7 points.

The two -time winners of the Champions League, once a dominant force in the continent, have fought to make significant progress in the recent editions of CAF competitions.

Its last remarkable appearance occurred in the stage of the Confederation Cup 2024/25, but early elimination and inconsistent exhibitions in recent years have affected their coefficient position.

The classifications are based on the performances of clubs in CAF competitions in the last five seasons, with a greater weight in recent results.

At Ahly FC of Egypt he heads the general list with 78 points, followed by Mamelodi Sundowns (62) and Espérance Sportive de Túnis (57).

The draw for both competitions will take place on Saturday in Tanzania, and accessories are expected to begin in the coming weeks.
